| Melodia | The indicated melody is almost identical between strophes. The accented syllable before the caesura receives the first melodic elaboration of the line - in lines one and two a pes (2a), in line three of strophe one only a virga strata (2V). The mid-point of the strophe is marked by the most extended melodic movement, a climacus (3b). Due to the paucity of melodic information, no pattern for the treatment of the supernumerary syllables in line one can be discerned. |
